Silver Synthetic – The Door (A Place To Bury Strangers Remix)

A short while back, RSTB faves Silver Synthetic let loose a new single, “The Door,” awash in Byrdsian harmonies and West Coast breezes. Ahead of a short EU run, the band offers up a re-imagined version of the song, remixed by Oliver Ackermann of A Place to Bury Strangers. The new version shoos away the calm, low-slung visions of the original in favor of an acidic crunch and prime punch of rhythmic palpitations. Ackermann’s mix fizzes with a new furor, still lost in the clouds but coloring them with a neon glow. The song is accompanied by a visualizer courtesy of New Orleans based artist Jessica Bizer.
