RSTB Radio WGXC: October

Last night marked the third month of radio over at WGCX and I’d have to say it was another good one (I’m biased). Another mix of classics and soon to be classics with inclusions from the new United Waters, the new stunner from Tobacco City, a recently repressed Mapache, Happy End and Kebnekaise bringing up the ’70s psych standards and the b-side to Garcia Peoples’ upcoming LP bringing down the house. Check out the tracklist below and listen/download the show HERE.

New show on WGXC in Hudson last night and it seems like I’m getting my radio legs back. Tried to ease into the show with a mix of folk and soft psych, including that stunner of a Jackson C. Frank cover by Chromatics (who saw that one coming?) Swapped into heavier territory with new ones from The Silence and Sunburned Hand of the Man then eased on out with some pop from Blueboy on down to The Oilies. Check out the full tracklist below and you can hear the set / download the show HERE.

Starting in August I’ll have a new monthly radio show on local freeform station WGXC here in Hudson. The station has a long history of great programing and I figure it gives a nice rundown of what’s been on Raven over the month, plus a few old and new surprises. This month I gathered up a whole host of new favorites including the radio edit of the brand new Garcia Peoples’ jam “One Step Behind.” The first show aired last night. Check out the full playlist below and you can listen to the archived show HERE. If you’re in the Hudson and surrounding area you can listen live every second Tuesday of the month on 90.7 FM.
