Ricky Albeck & The Belair Line Band

A new dusted rambler from Aussies Ricky Albeck & The Belair Line Band lands today on Adelaide’s Swirl Records. While a new album hasn’t been announce yet, gotta hope that this is an inkling of one on the way. “Against The Wall” falls in nicely with a new crop of Aussie country that’s been brewing, slotting in nicely with copies of Quality Used Cars and The Family Jordan. Albeck serves up a weathered drawl that eschews his youth, while the band saunters through a fog-streaked melancholy behind him, hanging it on the mournful fiddle work of Mick Albeck. The track is recorded by their constant foil Tom Spall (Wireheads, Dom & The Wizards) and raises anticipation nicely for something in the works. Nab the new single now.
