Ricky Albeck – “Get Me Outta Here”

Haven’t heart from Ricky Albeck in a little bit, but it’s great to see the Aussie songwriter back on the docket with a new single and album on the way from Dinosaur City. With members of Workhorse and Twine in tow, Albeck offers up the bluster and swing of “Get Me Outta Here.” The sawdust-throated singer lets loose with a barrage of strums that peak as the song sails over the horizon, crashing through thunderous drum beats and sparring with some sassafras-gilded background vocals. Albeck always had a handle on a more raucous vision of Americana and it’s good to see that he hasn’t lost a beat on his upcoming debut Nocturnal. The album is out May 3rd from Dinosaur City.
