The new album on the way from Parsnip continues to shape up into a pop crusher. Wrapped in flower crowns and curlicues that reach back to ‘60s psych-pop, the Aussie outfit pair their layered harmonies and sunshine strums with a homegrown jangle that’s picking through the Antipodean past as well. Like Look Green Go Purple snuggled down in the Brill Building, “Turn To Love” creeps in on furred feet of organ before exploding into color and a cavalcade of strums and swrils. The Alex McLaren-directed video matches the magic of the track shifting from black and white to an explosion of color and motion The new album, Behold, is out April 26th from Upset The Rhythm and Anti-Fade.
