Guranfoe (feat. Henry Parker) – “Guranjam #13, pt.2”

I’ll give the hat tip to Jeff Conklin of the always excellent Trailhead program for this one. Jeff’s been in tune to the works of UK prog/psych unit Guranfoe for some time and I’ve been meaning to get them onto the site. No better time than this new release, an annual tradition for the band in which they record a fully improvised record. This year the band expand the fold, bringing in RSTB favorite Henry Parker on acoustic and electrics, expanding their quartet to a quintet for the three pieces on display in Guranjam #13. The three untitled pieces here are fluid and formidable, nodding to the band’s already substantial live prowess, which can be witnessed through well-documented recordings on their Bandcamp. Along with Parker, they soar, expanding their already full spectrum and sounding as supple as ever. The record is available for download now.
