GospelbeacH – “The Dropouts (Parts One and Two)”

Avatar

Another pop charmer out of Curation and this time it’s a double-stuffed single from the upcoming GospelbeacH album, Wiggle Your Fingers. The band’s upcoming album marks the first time that labelhead Brent Rademaker and the Beach prep a release for the label and it’s shaping up to be an instant classic. “The Dropouts (parts 1&2)” eases into power pop paradise — set sail on a sea of organ and piano, sunshine strums, and Rademaker’s tale of living that life outside of the American expectancy. With a touch of Emitt Rhodes’ early ‘70s swoon, Rademaker runs down a life lived away from the glow of golden child guidelines, among the bands and barstools, back alley cigarettes and boundless nights. The song serves as a sort of definitive statement for the band, wrapped up on melody and melancholy, so it goes down smooth. The new album is out April 8th from Curation Records.
