Fort Not – “Tell Me Nothing”

A morning dose of indie pop courtesy of Swedish outfit Fort Not lands this morning. “Tell Me Nothing” is an airy confection of a cut — jangly, jaunty, and fizzing with a strain of pop that’s pulling from the early aughts garage-pop boom, but smoothed to a dole whip dulcet delight. The song retains a bit of that era’s modest methods, hiding its hooks just beneath a dust bunny varnish of scrappiness. The song slides into the brain easy and endlessly, letting its hooks keep the listener nodding all through the day. The new record, Depressed For Success, is out July 7th from Meritorio Records.
