After a couple of EPs the first single from Oog Bogo’s upcoming debut creeps out of the cabinets and its a disco-greased shimmy of sleaze pop that makes good on their early promises. Produced by Ty Segall (as is the rest of the album), “Plastic” is a squirming track that’s sinking into the fleshy remnants of glam and huffing the nihilism of punk — a narcotic dip into the unlit end of the pool. The band accompany the cut with a video that pairs the alien with the mundane, bringing the album cover to life in stark surrealism. The new album, also called Plastic, is out July 1st from Drag City imprint God? Records.
