A nice little surprise out of the Feeding Tube stable last week snuck in just under the bar on Friday. Village of Spaces returns with a new album for November. Dan Beckman-Moon’s songwriting gets a bit of pop shot in the arm on That’s Understanding, turning down the dial on some of the band’s past avant inclinations for something that burbles with a renewed clarity. “Otter Stamp Song” embraces space, letting a ripple of rhythm push it along while Beckman-Moon pairs a dose of sun soaked vocals with bubbling electronics and a light lacquer of strings. The new album, That’s Understanding, finds its way out November 3rd. Check out the video above.
