Trinket – “Halo 22”

A hazy, lovesick single slips out from Brooklyn’s Trinket ahead of their debut EP for UK label Sad Club. “Halo 22” is a slower and more measured look for the band. Throwing aside the strident jangles of early singles like “Silver Thread,” and “Figure Skater,” the song draws the drapes and lets love linger on the brain. Lost in the song’s gauze, the listener is lulled into a cocoon of melancholy before a wave of fuzz comes to wash it all away. The EP, New Hobby, is out February 29th from Sad Club.
