Wouldn’t be a new year without something good on the horizon from The Reds, Pinks and Purples. Donaldson’s jangle-pop era has been booming and we’re all the better for it. Filled with the same wit and melancholy that fueled “Too Late For an Early Grave” and “The Record Player and the Damage Done,” RPP tap into artistic dejection as the public embraces a band’s weakest and holds them hostage to it’s memory. “Your Worst Song Is Your Biggest Hit” fills the room with gauzy keys and soft-seated jangles.
