Joe Ziffer – ” Ouroboros”

Been a nice string of singles out of Australia this week, and the bounty continues today with the first single from Joe Ziffer’s Tenth Court debut. With an ear towards the more sun-warbled wonders of the ‘60s, Ziffer aims for Ayers, Pip Proud, and Kingdom Come, then filters them through the homespun seclusion of R. Stevie Moore. He succeeds quite admirably. With a private press aura radiating from the bounds of “Ouroboros,” the first single sets the listener up for Ziffer’s curdled careen through psych-pop. The new record, Long Shadows, is out November 24th from Tenth Court.
