New Zealand songwriter Joe Ghatt is back with a sophomore album on the way. The first single opens up a lounged look into summer, skidding through the speakers with a supple, slightly-psyched jazz jubilee that dabbles in surf, African guitar, and polyrhythms. Throw in a healthy, heady dash of flute and the single welcomes the listener with open arms, treading into territories already brimming with South-Hemi sun via contemporaries like The Babe Rainbow and King Gizzard in their lighter days. The new single, “Always Remember,” appears on Ghatt’s upcoming new album, Caper, out June 14th from Third Eye Stimuli, Echodelick, and Six Tonnes De Chair.
