Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few – “Perspective (Peace and Love)”

A gorgeous single from Isaiah Collier & The Chosen Few preceded the group’s upcoming new album, The Almighty. The song finds Collier not only in his role at the sax, but adding vocals to the piece, a hypnotic refrain that compliments Julian Davis Reid’s piano and the percussive pulse from Michael Shekwoaga Ode. The song tips to Collier’s love of Pharoah Sanders and Sanders’ influence on his work. Like much of the album, the song is a joyful celebration of concepts that bind us together in everyday life. Heads from around this part can also see Collier collab with RSTB favorites Jeffrey Alexander + The Heavy Lidders at the upcoming Milwaukee Psych Fest. Collier will add sax to the band’s set. The Almighty hits shelves on April 26th from Division 81 Records.
