Hot Apple Band – “Old Age”

Avatar

The stable at Third Eye Stimuli is deepening by the day and today they offer up an excellent new single from Hot Apple Band. An early version of this cut surfaced quite a few years ago under the name Noodle House, a sort-of solo venture for Jack Kinder. As the project grew he brought in friend and guitarist Lewis Mosley and Noodle Hose eventually evolved into Hot Apple Band full time. The early version appears on a split with Sunfruits, whose Winnie McQuinn contributes background vocals to the expanded version. The bones of that rough original are strengthened — adding in Mosley’s supple guitars and harmonies to Jack’s lonesome piano lines. The song fits into the ‘70s canyon canon that’s been rearing its head, feeling like a kindred spirit to The Lemon Twigs, Foxygen, Drugdealer, Sylvie, and Bedouine. The song is just the first trickle out of a new album, promised to be on the way very soon. Check out “Old Age” down below.
