Hooveriii – “The Ship That I Sail”

The second single out of RSTB faves Hooveriii finds the band shrouded in smoke, coiled and calm, with a liquid light levitating the song a few feet off the ground. The last album found the band with hackles raised, letting the heavy hammer of guitars clear the path, but this time around the band’s locked into a detached and debauched feeling, synths on the rise and their heads in the haze. The song’s a nine+ minute serpent on record, but they cut it down to a digestible slice to pair with an animated video from Rob Fidel. The new album, Pointe, rises on October 13th and finds them once again operating out of The Reverberation Appreciation Society.
