Goat – “Join The Resistance”

A second single bubbles up from the new Goat album today, finding the band mixing their fire-roasted riffs with a heat wave haze on “Join The Resistance.” The song lets in a bit more light and space than the average Goat single — searing guitars remain with hand drums and curlicues of sitar and smoke rising through the speakers. They pair the cut with a VHS-veined take on the summer of love, letting out commune vibes through a cracked documentary lens. The band prepares to release their fifth album, Medicine, on Rocket, following closely on their first foray into television soundtracking for the series The Gallow’s Pole. The new album is out October 13th.
