Moundabout – “The Hills Hum Hymns”

Avatar

A second offering emerges from the upcoming new album from Irish psych-folk outfit Moundabout. “The Hills Hum Hymns,” finds itself in a more serene temperament than previous single “Sacred & Profane.” The song winds around circular patterns, reflected in the accompanying video, lulling the listener into a sense of meditative calm. Where the last single made parallels with Six Organs and Voice of the Seven Woods, this time the band is working in a much more Eastern mode, slipping onto the speakers next to Basho and newer works from Ami Dang. Immerse yourself in the new song and its hypnotic video above. The new album, An Cnoc Mór, is out August 4th from Rocket Recordings.
