Florry – “Take My Heart”

Philly’s rising country outfit Florry release a second single from their excellent new album, The Holey Bible. “Take My Heart,” offers a more reserved, but still engrossing view of their new LP. A sincere offer of love from the band swoons with strums and the dancefloor draw of fiddle. The albums seeks to bring to life the kind of raucous commune that draws listeners in and translates the radiant gleed of the live show to tape. The band has expanded and evolved since the last record and that growth is on prime display on “Take My Heart.” The song beams with a goodwill that’s infectious, a kind of instant cheer that fills the speakers and causes an unconscious sway within the listener. Like the first single, “Drunk and High,” this will likely be lodged in your head for some time and find itself surfacing with a smile throughout the day. The band’s new album is out August 4th from Dear Life Records.
