David Nance & Mowed Sound – “Mock The Hours”

In a well deserved bump in visibility, David Nance announces a record for Third Man today. The Omaha songwriter has had an excellent run over the last few years on Trouble In Mind and has been integral to Rosali’s backing band on her last two outfits and numerous tours. With “Mock The Hours” Nance scrubs up his sound and lights into the same singed rock signature that’s been scrawled across his catalog for years. With a dusted Americana sound burning in the tank, “Mock The Hours” soars on gritted guitars, dive bar piano pound, and a bit of sweetness from an unexpected string section. Damn good to see Nance getting his due. The new album, David Nance & Mowed Sound, is out February 9th.
