DAR – “New Sunbeam Feeling”

Another burner on the way out of Sophomore Lounge, the new album from Chicago’s DAR cozies up to the speakers today. Scarred and scuzzed in the tradition of the best ‘90s alt-rock rippers, the first single “New Sunbeam Feeling” pounds the skull with chunky riffs and a ragged soul. The single is the first taste of the sophomore album from Aaron Osborne and finds some familiar Loungers in the credits, including Ryan Davis (Roadhouse Band, State Champion) and Jenny Rose (Equipment Pointed Ankh). The song’s a propulsive kick to the cranium that gets the blood flowing on a chilly Monday.
