Chime School – “Coming To Your Town”

I mentioned earlier that Slumberland had a wealth of releases today and this new single from Chime School cozies up nicely next to the 7″ just released from labelmates The Laughing Chimes. The band is having a hell of a month with another stunner already slipping out on Prefect’s 14 compilation last week. “Coming To Your Town” continues to make the case for Chime School’s enduring charms. The song’s a timeless jangler, bright and warm as a Spring day, despite its lyrical lean towards exploring the more sinister strains of our Western culture. The song’s title sounds like a promise of touring through small venues, but instead peels back a few layers on civil breakdown. The single is a co-release with Meritorio and Fastcut Records out now!
