Chet Sounds – “Hot Lips Houlihan”

Avatar

Another new single grabs the speakers from the upcoming Chet Sounds album. The solo project of Uplifting Bell Ends’ Chet Tucker, Chet Sounds diverges from the Americana itch that had worked its way into the last Bell Ends record. The first couple of singles from the album found Tucker occupying space in the dream-stream ennui of Bacharach and Brian Wilson but on “Hot Lips Houlihan,” he’s exploring elements of jazz fusion. The instrumental rides a ‘70s groove, swung on the nodding rhythm and letting the keys burn through the speakers with an amber glow. Honestly, I’d love a full album of Tucker digging deep into this sound. Check out the claymation/stop-motion video that accompanies, from SarahVision. The new album, Changes Happen To Everyone, Everywhere is out October 27th from Third Eye Stimuli.
