Semi Trucks – “Motorbike Riding Star”

A second jangler from the upcoming Semi Trucks album sneaks out today. The LA band’s pop is pancaked between layers of lo-fi, feeling like a xeroxed transmission from the indie pop past – evoking feelings of quiet alienation and aching hope. Sepe slows things down on “Motorbike Riding Star,” a churning bout of guitar clang that rises out of the hiss mists to charm the kids with a loping hook and a hangdog delivery. The band’s debut Vs. California is out November 26th from the rising stable of Meritorio Records. Check out the single below.
