Motorists – “L.O.W.”

A towering third single from the upcoming Motorists LP hits today. Quickly rising to the top of my most anticipated list, the Canadian trio’s sophomore LP has tapped into power pop with an undercurrent of post-punk, but “L.O.W.” is as close as the band has come to a ‘90s grunge burner. The cut is anchored by huge riffs and a quivering vocal delivery. The song seems to come from all directions — massive, monolithic, and all encompassing. “L.O.W.” glows with a wicked glee, a feeling that’s coursing through the upcoming Touched By The Stuff. The new record is out May 24th from Bobo Integral and We Are Time.
