Mixtape: Way Behind The Sun

As the weather finally starts to cool and turn towards autumn I’ve seen numerous calls to bust out the UK Folk — gathering up Pentagle and Fairport albums for a descent into yearly sweater-weather listening. Having spent much time with those albums I sought find a modern update on yearly repeats of favorite Anglo-folk traditions. The songs assembled here have that spirit of ‘60s folk-rock from the English hills in their veins. Cable knit riffs and soaring chamber melodies wind their way around many of these songs adding one more mix to your yearly dive into musical comfort from the chill in the air.
