Matthew J. Rolin – “For A Better Year”
by Andy

A busy year already for Matthew Rolin, following the announcement of the sophomore LP from Winged Wheel, he lets out news of a new solo slab on the way from Dead Currencies. Twos is a spiritual successor to his self-released collection of singles, Ones. Both collections cull from Rolin’s Bandcamp singles, let loose over the last couple of years. “For A Better Year,” finds Rolin working through electric amble, leading the listener through paths both beautiful and battered over the course of its nearly six-minute run. The album will be released in small press editions — 50 CDs and 50 lathe cut LPs, so best to snap this one up sooner rather than later. The album will bout out May 17.
