Over the course of 2021 Keven Louis Lareau has released as steady stream of essential Cosmic Americana singles. The set started out back in March with “Not All Songs Have Been Sung,” a warm breeze of track that established his country-flecked vision to come. Back when the single first came out I described it as cultivating a New Riders / Burritos aura (with some strong Workingman’s/Beauty overtones as well), the song ambles slow into the oncoming dusk, basking nicely in its own radiant glow. The butterscotch harmonies draw the listener in and the light sheen of twang and cool-water ripple of acoustic strings make it easy to stay. Now there’s a pastoral video to accompany his debut single. If you haven’t picked it up yet, this is an excellent reminder of why you should.
