A few years back a fuzzed and faded tape hit the site by Oakland band Hits. Beneath the tape hiss haze the band hid plenty of hooks and a good dose of charm. The band’s returned with a bit of a hiss-squeegeed sound and indie pop bliss to spare with a new LP that’s out on local label Paisley Shirt in September. The first single swoons for the Suicide frontman, letting a childhood crush feel fresh with beach-swept strums and the bedroom harmonies. The single is just the first toe into the album’s deft swirl of Raincoats, Dolly Mixture, and Tiger Trap trills. The album arrives September 17th.
