After a string of indispensible singles, CA duo Color Green offer up details for their debut full length today. Leaving both singles off the tracklist, the upcoming eponymous LP leans into the Cosmic Americana careen that marked their early works. The first new single, “Ill Fitting Suit” melds their vocals together into sun-flecked harmonies while that guitar touches the same salt-scrubbed choogle that’s driven some of the past couple of years’ best — from the country dawn licks of Silver Synthetic, to the haze of Rose City Band, and the West Coast carefree smile of Pacific Range. Of course, the sewn in ‘70s inspirations for all of the above come in tow with the band’s sound as well. The new record is out July 22nd from ORG.
