Cindy – “The Price Is Right”

A second single from the upcoming Cindy makes a compelling case for the San Francisco band. More compact than the winding “A Trumpet On A Hillside,” the new single captures the methodical magic of Cindy’s sound. Soft strums and Karina Gill’s dewy vocals underscore a song of small comforts, inspired by walks around the city. Quiet moments permeate the new album, each song a keepsake clouded in the gauze of memory. The band have pulled back the film just a touch this time, but “The Price is Right” is still filtered through sun and shade, a warm swaddle of sound that’s as comforting as the song’s inspiration. The new album, Why Not Now?, is out April 14th from Mt. St. Mtn and Tough Love.
