Andrew Tuttle – “Correlation”
by Andy
Its a good day for second singles, and this new one from Australian songwriter Andrew Tuttle is just the kind of rippling ease that I need on a hectic Wednesday. Peering through the rain with his banjo, “Correlation” has all the feelings of sheltering from a downpour — humid, damp, verdant, and streaked with earth. The song pairs his pluck with pedal steel from Chuck Johnson, adding a kind of otherworldly ache to the mix. Aside from Johnson, Tuttle’s new album features fellow familiar names like Steve Gunn, Luke Schneider, Josh Kimbrough, and Balmorhea. The new record, Fleeting Adventure, arrives July 29th from Basin Rock.
