Workhorse – “Desert”

Avatar

Aussie outfit Workhorse put out an excellent record last year, and if you’re not well acquainted with No Photographs, I recommend a listen. Harriet Fraser-Barbour digs into the sessions for the album and offers up an extra track that didn’t make the record, but one that captures her sanguine country sighs quite well. Skewing towards the more serene, sundown end of the album, the song is “about driving the long stretches of highway that connect and keep us apart from far away loved ones.” It’s a lovely reminder to go back and revisit No Photographs, or let it into your life for the first time. The single is out today from Dinosaur City Records.
