Washer – “You’re Also A Jerk”

As evidenced by this comp I made earlier in the year, I’m always a sucker for a real ‘90s alt-pop emulator. Washer digs into similar territory as Langkamer, turning slacker riffs and boiling tensions into a cathartic careen. “You’re Also A Jerk” captures a kind of pent up, sequestered seethe. It’s the type of screed that’s yelled alone in a room, a delivery that’s never made directly but still washes the soul of its rumpled rancor. The song stomps out as a single b/w “Come Back As A Bug” both out April 2nd. The single accompanies the band’s upcoming tour dates this month.
