The Small Intestines – “Old Town”

Got a second single sliding out of the debut from The Small Intestines today. The Melbourne group features members of Chook Race, and while they share a bit of the band’s jangles, there’s a rougher charm to the Intestines’ work. Taking a page out of South-Hemi heroes like The Go-Betweens and The Bats, the band jangles with an assured air on “Old Town.” Vocals volley between guitarist Tristan Peach and drummer Matt Liveriadis, giving the song a kind of communal air. The band’s debut album, Hide In Time, arrives September 29th as a co-release between Meritorio Records and Lost & Lonesome records.
