Following the new single from Swedes Fort Not yesterday, Meritorio offers up the first cut from new signing Small Intestines. The Aussie band brings the jangles, but leans more towards the homegrown sort, echoing the indie pop past of Go-Betweens or The Bats. “Horse Riding,” glides the lines between bittersweet and bubbly, feeling like a single lost to time. The band features members of Chook Race and Peach Time, acting as a respite to band members in down-time between their other outfits. The new record, Hide In Time, arrives September 29th as a split release between Meritorio and Lost and Lonesome.
