Starting the year out right with a new single and news of a new album on the way from longtime favorites The Pheromoans. The UK band has been chewing on post-punk and DIY for the long haul and as they tee up their new album Wyrd Psearch, they’re still wrestling a few rumpled hooks and wry witticisms out of their duffle. “Downtown” finds the band hammering at exhaustion, wrapping their guitars around their weariness with just the right sinew and singe. The single crops up on the forthcoming Wyrd Psearch, out March 1st from Upset The Rhythm.
