Rosali – “Bite Down”

I’ve been loving Rosali’s deserved rise to the forefront on her latest album Bite Down. The songwriter paired again with David Nance and her backing band from No Medium, further refining the sound that was shaped on her 2021 breakthrough. The title track gets the video treatment today, a meditative wander through the woods that matches the song’s tempered tone. Snaked through with organ and a soft patter of drums, the song is a counterpoint to some of Rosali’s heavier fare, though its themes of resilience hit just as hard. The song slips through the air like wind on a pond, subtle, but still leaving its mark on the listener. The new album, Bite Down, is out March 22nd from Merge.
