A gorgeously tender cut from the upcoming solo debut from Irish songwriter Oisin Leech (The Lost Brothers). Produced by Steve Gunn, the record finds Gunn accompanying Leech on the majority of the tracks here along with contributions from M. Ward, Tony Garnier (Bob Dylan), fiddler Roisin McGrory, and Dónal Lunny. “Color Of The Rain” captures the album’s subtle grace. Leech’s voice wraps around the song like a scarf, the other players weaving between his woolen lines. It’s easy to just call the song comforting, but it’s more than that. The song quenches. It’s a melancholy stare into the hills and housetops, a needed reset to the day. The new record, Cold Sea, is out March 8th from Outside Music.
