Meatbodies – “Billow”

The new Meatbodies album just keeps on giving, embracing a psych-scratched corner of the ‘90s that’s a leaves familiar scent on the air and a pleasant ringing in the ears. Leveraging a bit of the ol’ MBV blast with that Jane’s energy that’s been coming through at the edges of a few tracks, the latest single, “Billow” might be the best of the bunch. A compact crusher that’s propulsive, pungent, and a lot of fun. The cut comes complete with a very ‘90s nodding video that calls back to the handheld chaos of The Beastie Boys. The new album, Flora Ocean Tiger Bloom, is out from In The Red, March 8th.
