Love Burns – “Dear Claire”

I’ve caught a few singles from Love Burns in the past and its great to see an album on the way with a number of favorite labels attached (K.U.S. Records, Jigsaw, Austin Town Hall). The band, a solo endeavor by Phil Sutton of Comet Gain spreads out in the sunshine, a warm indie pop rippler that’s hard to deny. With a swell of organ pushing the song forward, Sutton lets this one sway in the warm breezes (scant as they are these days), lending the song a certain ease. “Dear Claire” crops up on the band’s upcoming It Should Have Been Tomorrow, out February 4th and features members of Comet Gain, Jeanines, and Lake Ruth.
