Aluminum – “Beat”

A second single out of RSTB faves Aluminum. The band’s debut single brought forward fumes of Britpop’s baggy bobble, but the second song to slip out of the upcoming Fully Beat, is a bit gauzier, a bit gazier. Still speckled with rhythm, “Beat” finds the band exploring the more propulsive ends of the shoegaze spectrum, digging into Chapterhouse and Medicine, lighting the heady hand drum aesthetics of the first half aflame as charred guitars break through the haze at the midpoint. The band’s new album is out May 24th from Felte.
