Allah-Las – “Dust”

Another new single from the upcoming Allah-Las record surfaces and gets the video treatment from RSTB fave designer Bailey Elder. “Dust” finds the band shying away from some of the slickness that’s shown up so far in the lead up to Zuma 85. Pinned to a nodding groove, the song isn’t quite as carefree as the band’s back catalog, but there’s still some of the same summer in its hair. This time, though, clouds gather with a bittersweet billow that floats through the song. The salt-air scrub of the Las lets go for a dose of inner tensions flashing through on silvered synths. The new record arrives October 13th from Innovative Leisure.
