The Smashing Times – “Love, When I Remember”

A second single lands from Baltimore’s The Smashing Times and its a Paisley gem that stands apart from the bulk of the East Coat enclave’s scene. Feeling more akin to Cali janglers and UK strummers from the ‘80s, the band straddles the lines between The Jasmine Minks, True West, and Biff Bang Pow! The clouds converge over the English side of the fence on “Lost, When I Remember” and an overcast melancholy comes with it. The song feels like a bit of a lost single, the band proving more than adept at emulating their influences. The new album, Bloom, is out October 28th from Meritorio Records.
