Spencer Cullum feat. Hollow Hand – “O Caroline”

Hey, any reason to feature Spencer Cullum is greatly appreciated around here, and a pairing with fellow RSTB fave Hollow Hand only seals the deal. The pair slips out a sweet cover of Matching Mole’s “O Caroline” today. The song is… well I wouldn’t necessarily say that Matching Mole had ‘hits,’ but it stands as the most recognizable remnant of the post-Soft Machine outing from Wyatt and contemporary David Sinclair (Caravan). Along with Dominic Billett (The Kernal, Erin Rae), the trio offers up a fairly faithful cover of the song. Whatever the reason, it’s a nice moment of cross-Atlantic symbiosis that brings this gem out into the open once again. The single is available now from Spencer’s Bandcamp.
