Milkweed – “My Father’s Sheep Is Dead”
by Andy
Very nice to see a new release on the way from shadowy UK collective Milkweed. Like their last, the upcoming Folklore 1979 is draped in imagery from a single literary work, the songs reflecting the themes throughout. This time around its Folklore Volume 90 1979 ii, a tome that’s from the collection of The Folklore Society. “My Father’s Sheep Is Dead” stutters into view, driving a rusted screw between Wicker Man folk fumes and a hauntological exhumation that’s right out of the Pre-Cert stable. The new cassette is out February 28th from Broadside Hacks.
