A low slung choogler out of Chicago snaps on today, tipped up by Drag City imprint Country Thyme. The band’s new single “High Time” chugs along on a dirty riff that laps at the undercarriage of glam but pulls back with the soft powder pout of Joshua Condon’s vocals. That push-pull of airy aesthetics (the vox, the light touch on the keys) and gristled grind (the guitars and pelvic pound of drums) drives the song until it skids into a greased solo outro. The band’s upcoming debut, Maria’s Hunt, is out January 20th from Country Thyme/Drag City.
