There’s a lot to love in the singles leading up to the second Bat Fangs album. Featuring Ex Hex’s Betsy Wright and Flesh Wounds’ Laura King, the band shares more than a few similarities with Wright’s rock forward report with her other outfit. Here, though, the duo push even further towards the last days of summer swelter, finding an anthemic push from the ‘80s that bites down hard on the hooks of Lita Ford, Pat Benatar, Girlschool, and Cheap Trick. The song swaps neatly between the fist in the air verses and the lump in the throat choruses, washing away everything with Wright’s flamethrower leads. The bands second album, Queen of My World is out this Friday, October 29th.
