Tulpa – “Transfixed Gaze”

UK janglers Tulpa return with a new single, following the ‘90s burn of their opening volley “Let’s Make A Tulpa.” The new cut, “Transfixed Gaze,” turns down the ‘90s nods just a bit, but it’s not totally free of the hold. This time the band balances fuzz and strums for a blurry blast of indie oblivion. The slightly softer side of the band is still barnacled in feedback and froth, but at its heart the song is a dreamy ode to attention and affection. The new single swoops up on the band’s debut, Monster of the Week, out November 21st fro Skep Wax.
